Climate Change: Causes, Consequences, and Solutions | ||
| Get a speaker for your organization: Dr. Andrew Gunther, CEMAR’s Executive Director, is available to give a presentation to interested groups about climate change. His hour-long presentation (Global Climate Disruption: A Scientific Call to Action) is designed for interested members of the public, and is offered free-of-charge. Dr. Gunther was trained by the scientists and educators at The Climate Project, and he explains the science of global warming, the signs of change around the globe, why we should be concerned about it, and what we can do now to prevent this problem from getting worse. Dr. Gunther is well known for his ability to speak about science to non-scientific audiences. This nonpartisan presentation will include time for you to ask questions and to find out more about what you can do to address this problem. Learn more about climate change: All of the leading scientific organizations in the world have concluded that climate change is occurring due to the emission of heat-trapping gases by humans. There are many things we can do as individuals to reduce the amount of heat-trapping gases we emit, mainly by making sure we use energy efficiently. |
